In front of a large opening day crowd at the 2019 North American Frac Sand Exhibition and Conference, IAC launched its new Special Ops program.
Special Ops is a critical new program which accelerates return on investment for Frac Sand plant owners by addressing the biggest challenges facing the in-basin Frac Sand market. This program will provide any Frac Sand plant owner a real, tangible performance gain, as well as the monitoring and management necessary to sustain the higher levels of output and overall performance.
Bob Carter, IAC President, presented the methodology behind optimization and how the Special Ops program will tailor the plant’s operation to produce efficient, quality output in real world conditions. Bob cited a number of cases where plant operation was creating more waste and inefficiencies from not taking a systematic approach to optimization.
The four phase plan includes:
- Phase One, Evaluate the current operating conditions and gather data necessary to determine and prioritize the areas of optimization.
- Phase Two, Improve production by establishing new operational targets and implement the methods necessary to achieve them. The result will be improved production quality, reduced equipment failure, and improved dry plant feed.
- Phase Three, Develop and train an inexperienced workforce and implement the tools they need to sustain the optimized performance levels. This would include process control automation, maintenance and service programs, and resolving any compliance issues.
- Phase Four, Monitor performance through the implementation of advanced data analytics and modern sensor technology, IAC’s Special Ops can provide on-site and remote monitoring of plant performance.
