Steel Dynamics Inc. Awards IAC a Turnkey Order For New Steel Meltshop
STEEL DYNAMICS, INC. AWARDS INDUSTRIAL ACCESSORIES COMPANY (IAC) A TURNKEY ORDER FOR THE SUPPLY & INSTALLATION OF THE REVERSE AIR BAGHOUSEs & AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT FOR THE NEW STEEL MELTSHOP TO BE LOCATED IN SINTON, TEXAS.
Mission, KS – April 25, 2020 Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI) has awarded IAC an order for the supply of the Reverse Air Baghouses and the EAF Dust handling for its Sinton location in the state of Texas. The new Mini-Steel Plant will have an annual capacity of liquid steel of over three million tons. Commissioning is scheduled for Mid-2021.
IAC Will Supply the Following Equipment and Services:
- Two independent Reverse Air Baghouse Systems for two direct-current electric arc furnaces (DC-EAF) having a capacity of 210 short tons (190 tons) each and two twin ladle furnaces (LF). Melt-shop Ventilation will include Canopy Exhaust above the EAF(s) and building ventilation. Capacity is 1,650,000 acfm per system.
- EAF Dust Handling from the RAFFs to the Rail Car Load-out Silo.
- Turnkey Installation Services; Commissioning & Start-up of the RAFF and EAF Dust Handling Systems with the Rail Car Load-outs.
